When you find artistry in jewelry by ‘PHERES,’ and jewels of art by ‘Midori Sato’ at ‘SCÈNE Tokyo.’

PHERES collaborated with Tokyo’s finest art salon, SCÈNE that is exhibiting Midori Sato’s art collection, ‘Glimmer of Night.’ A celebration of Narcisa Pheres’ fine jewelry and personal antique collection beautifully intertwined with Midori Sato’s fine art depicting her experience in Paris.

This private preview of designer brand Narcisa Pheres Fine Jewelry at Tokyo’s most creative art salon, SCÈNE was one of it’s kind. The afternoon celebrated the symbiotic relationship between fine jewelry and fine art.

SCÈNE showcases an idea of daily life to those who are not familiar with art as well as to those who are originally fond of art, and to increase the ‘landscape with art’ in the world.

Through this exclusively private art salon, exhibitions of domestic and foreign artists, fashion, interior and traditional crafts are put on display.

Midori Sato‘s recent exhibition ‘Glimmer of Night’ at SCÈNE came to life during her stay in Paris for a year. The scenes of Paris are boldly used for her inspiration, especially the light nights of the city. Her subjects for the paintings are derived from daily life objects, such as shoes, jewels and fruits. She adds a touch of her own interpretation of abstract expressionism making the viewer feel the spark of night lights, rain and the universe, all under one umbrella.

A closet packed full of colorful dresses, an array of high-heeled shoes on shelves, vividly colored flowers:Midori Sato shows us things that every woman yearns to see. Yet if we turn our attention to the details of her work, bold brushstrokes and an intentionally uneven paint coating tinge her subject matter with the contours of abstraction. – TOMIO KOYAMA GALLERY (collaborator)

Narcisa Pheres Fine Jewelry showcased it’s finest jewelry collection along with the designer’s personal collection of antiques. The designer wholeheartedly creates jewelry that is synonymous with art. She is passionate of emulating reinterpretations of antiques and pieces of historical value into curating jewelry. The scintillating collection showcased at this private preview amalgamated seamlessly with Midori Sato’s take on sparks of jewels and beauty of dresses.

With the aim of bringing jewelry back into art, Narcisa Pheres Fine Jewelry pieces are inspired by famous artistic historical and contemporary styles. Last year’s Met Gala featured the iconic queen of pop, Madonna wearing Narcisa Pheres jewelry that was inspired by European gothic art and was in sync with the theme of ‘Heavenly Bodies: Fashion and the Catholic Imagination.”

A big thank you to SCÈNE for this collaboration!
