Our world today has metamorphosed us to live a fast-paced, brisk life, something we can’t easily disconnect from as much as we try. Residing in a big city like Hong Kong comes with innumerable grateful opportunities however at the same time condemns you to a hectic life. Which is why the need to rejuvenate our mind and soul becomes imperative.
Last summer after spending five days at an incredible retreat in Koh Samui, I knew I wanted to be back and explore the second largest island in Thailand a little further. This time without leveraging on a retreat, I wanted to refresh my creative mind and spend time with my loved ones because once we’re back to Hong Kong we know that we will be caught up with our tight schedules all over again.
Still in ‘out-of-office’ mode as I write this, I wanted to share this paradise that I’m delighted to call home for the week. Secluded from the touristy Chaweng or Lamai side of the island, this villa is an absolute dream. There’s something so soothing about spending the day by the infinity pool catching up on a book with a glass of champagne, having exquisite Thai food, and embracing the wonderful scenery with of course the family. This place is nothing short of amazing and truly a paradise!
While we may be living in a remote location on the island, the villa is fully staffed with a chauffeur and a chef. With the beautiful island kitchen with dramatic ocean views, we are absolutely getting spoilt here. Hmm, tell me one good reason I should go back to Hong Kong again? The fresh mangoes, papayas and coconuts are divine. Along with the aromas of lemongrass and galangal from the kitchen as our chefs prepare another delicious Thai spread is incomparable to any such experience we’ve had before.
