Pure Italian Luxury brand PHERES gives a sneak peak into the Spring/Summer 2013 Collection during Firenze fashion week
Italian Luxury brand PHERES held viewings of its SS 2013 collection during the fashion week in Florence in the most exclusive setting : the 16th century palace Residenza del Moro. The viewing – hosted by the Creative Director of the brand Narcisa Pheres – proved to be as vivid and sophisticated as the venue itself and offered intriguing first glimpses into their next spring/summer collection.
As a tribute to the venetian heritage of the brand , the venue was decorated in Casa PHERES style with luxurious silk and jacquard combined with gold applications, crystals and hand painted ceramic to bring back the grandeur and finesse of the past.
PHERES is well known internationally for its bespoke tailoring and ceremony wear entirely hand made by their venetian tailors in luxurious fabrics often with exquisite applications but the new collection shows a much more casual approach in both fabrics, colours and construction, reminding us of an Italian summer on the Amalfi Coast.
PHERES SS’13 collection featured Napoli sartorial summer jackets, entirely deconstructed, in colourful and lightweight fabrics, handmade silk ties, hand painted scarves and pocket squares and a comprehensive collection of design shirts in cotton, linen and silk with various application, colour contrast and design details particular to the brand.
Add to that, PHERES included some very exquisite accessories in exotic leather – with the entire collection all hand made in Italy using traditional ‘Lavorazione Artigianale’ techniques.
As a special surprise to the guests, on the last evening of the event, PHERES held a small demonstration on hand painting silk , technique used for its scarves and limited edition ties. On the same day PHERES lunched the 12 folds tie, the ultimate luxury accessory for a true gentleman.
Also on display, to add sparkle to the evening, were the diamond cufflinks ; custom designed pieces for which Narcisa Pheres is very well known as the preferred designer of many international celebrities . It was only a small preview that PHERES offered before the official launch of its jewellery line later this year.
